William Shakespeare was born
on April 23,1564 at Stratford,
England.
- His life of education started
at Stratford grammar school.
- His father John Shakespeare
was a glover who encouraged Shakespeare to write.
- 1582 he married Anne Hathaway
and had a daughter named Susanna in 1583.
- In 1595 they also had twins
named Hamnet and Judith. Hamnet died in 1596.
- 1594-1599 were momentous for
Shakespeare. He produced a steady stream of plays of the highest quality and
verbal invention.
- 1599 he became part owner in
the most prestigious public playhouse in London, the
Globe.

He returned to Stratford in 1610.
- He died on April 23,1616 at
the age of 52.
